Vista Service pack 1 for auto delivery

Now vista users will get the service pack 1 auto delivered to their machines via windows update utility. Microsoft servers are getting loaded heavily, so they are doing it in different phases. If you want to install it urgently you can go to windows update utility and turn it on manually.

SP1 is expected to have around 600 bugs fixed. Im still unsure whether to install vista SP1 or not cos a friend of mine said, his PC is restarting continuously after he installed vista service pack 1.

After a delay of over a month the Vista service pack 1 is out now. Now it looks like a lot of improvements to the troubled vista. Some of the changes are listed below.

  • Faster copying of files
  • Enhanced security
  • Better hard drive management for power saving
  • Stable drivers
  • Anti malware tools
  • New APIs
  • Support for exFAT file system

Windows vista sales are driven by laptop manufacturers who bundle vista with their laptops.
