There are unconfirmed reports that the microsoft windows XP service pack 3 is now available in many of the Torrent networks. These are hacked by some experts and are supposed to be able to bypass the windows genuine check. It seems we still have some smart asses around.
Users who are downloading service packs from torrent sites should check for malware before they install it. Most hacked things have some sorts or spyware or malware with it.
The genuine windows XP service pack 3 will be available for download from April 29 onwards.
Microsoft will release its third service pack for windows xp on april 29th, says trusted sources. The schedule is going to be something like this.
- April 14, 2008: Support is available for the release version of Service Pack 3 for Windows XP;
- April 21, 2008: Original Equipment Manufacturers, Volume License, Connect, and MSDN and TechNet subscribers;
- April 29, 2008: Microsoft Update, Windows Update, Download Center;
- June 10, 2008: Automatic Updates.
The service pack is expected to contain all the previous updates and can be used with a fresh installation also. After SP2 microsoft had released many updates time to time for windows XP. SP3 is expected to be a collection of all these updates.
Windows XP service pack 3 contains the updates of all the previous service packs, vis service pack 1 and service pack 2. So if you install service pack 3, then there is no need to install the other 2 packs. This pack includes security updates and hotfixes, and select out-of-band releases. The service pack includes functionality previously released as updates, such as the Microsoft®Management Console (MMC) 3.0 and the Microsoft Core XML Services 6.0 (MSXML6).
